The Solar Electric Power Association is a group formed by electric utility companies and the solar power industry. They teamed up to find the answers to our energy demands. SEPA is a network of more than one hundred companies. There are fifty utility companies, twenty five solar companies and the others are made up of a variety of business types. They share experiences, knowledge, and information about solar programs, They also discuss policies and technology relating to their field.
Is the right choice for you solar power? With fossil fuels depleting there are clear advantages to the use of this safe alternative. Once installed solar energy is free. It can be used in areas where electricity can’t be set up easily. The sun is not an energy source that is going to become depleted for millions of years. A disadvantage is that it will not function at night. The cost of creating solar power stations to store such energy is very expensive.
There are parts of the world where solar energy and power just isn’t available due to the climate and lack of sunlight.
