Rattan Storage Baskets Can Help You Keep Everything In Order

Most of us have too much stuff. Our homes are filled with things we’ve collected over the years, and unless you live in a house with tons of closet space, you’re likely always looking for new places to hide things. It’s convenient to slide things under beds and behind furniture but there’s an alternative that allows you to store things right out in the open. Rattan storage baskets are attractive enough that they can take center stage in your room and they also double as a place to discreetly store almost anything.

Women aren’t the only ones with distinct wardrobes for every season. Most of us have one closet to store all of our clothing items in. If you are trying to fit a year’s worth of clothing into such a small space you are going to ultimately run into difficulties. A much better solution is to use rattan storage baskets for items like t-shirts, ties and socks. These things can easily be folded and tucked away in the basket. If you don’t have enough room in the closest for the baskets, use them as decorative touches in your bedroom. They look fantastic stacked in a corner or even set beside the headboard.

The same is true of baby items. If you are a first time mom or dad you may be contemplating adding another addition to your family in the future. Baby clothes are quite expensive so putting them in lined storage baskets for safekeeping is a great idea. You can store these in the baby’s room and just add to them as he or she grows. Then when you are expecting again, it’s just a matter of removing the clothes from the baskets for the new little one to wear.

Kitchens can tend to be cluttered too. There’s always a need for linen in the kitchen to keep the pots, pans and countertops clean. A lovely way to add a decorative touch to your kitchen and still take full advantage of function is with wicker baskets. These look sensational when left sitting on a countertop filled with kitchen linens including dishcloths and towels. You can also use a wicker basket to keep fruit in that has yet to ripen, perhaps a few pears and apples.

Magazines and newspapers seem to multiply on their own. If you find yourself overrun with reading material in your home pick a central spot for a couple of rattan storage baskets. Then you can fill one with newspapers and the other with current magazines. This is a great way to keep everything in one spot so when someone goes looking for their section of the paper they’ll have no problem locating it.

Don’t forget what great gifts these make. They also double as gift wrapping in the sense that you can fill them with all types of great items, wrap them in some cellophane and give them away. Let your imagination be your guide in this regard. Chances are the recipient will be as impressed with the gift of the rattan storage baskets as they are with what you put in them.
